Quick release safety clasp. Breakaway clips are designed especially for cat collars,in order that they break open if your cat should get stuck and are not designed to be used with leashes.

Got this for a male cat and unfortunately, it wasn't robust enough to survive his rambunctiousness but still a beautiful colour (and bought a different colour for our female cat and it worked really well for her as she doesn't like the feel of a collar and it was light enough that she hardly noticed it).
